It's About Being There For You
Your People. Your Moments. Your Places. Your World. Our Heart And Soul.
Tim Druck
Photographer | Filmmaker | Storyteller
I believe that every great story—whether told through a scholarly lens or a camera shutter—starts with a genuine curiosity about the human experience. As a photographer and filmmaker, I’ve spent my career exploring the intersection of visual narrative and deep research, always aiming to find the honest truth at the center of every frame
The Eye Behind the Lens
My work as a photographer is driven by a desire to document the world as it unfolds. I am perhaps best known for capturing the "human shield" photo during the 2020 Louisville protests—an image that resonated globally as a testament to solidarity. My portfolio also extends to the quiet, striking beauty of urban landscapes and historic landmarks, where I use dramatic light and vivid color to breathe new life into familiar scenes. Whether documenting history in the making or the architectural soul of a city, my goal is to invite viewers to see the extraordinary in the everyday.
From Academia to the Screen
My creative vision is grounded in a strong academic foundation. I graduated Magna Cum Laude rom the University of Louisville working in History and Peace Studies, so I approach filmmaking and photography as forms of visual sociology. My film work is defined by the same commitment to authenticity, utilizing the collaborative energy of the set to bring complex narratives to life. This work includes awards for Best Documentary, Best Editing, Best Stunt and Best Film as a Director, Editor and Director of Photography. I believe that technical mastery is simply the vehicle for emotional connection.
Let’s Connect
When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me exploring local history or hunting for a new perspective in the streets of Louisville. I’m always looking for new stories to tell and new voices to collaborate with.
